Andrew Niccol's sci-fi tale is both a gorgeous film and a thought-prokoving scientific inquiry. Jerome Freeman (Ethan Hawke) does not have the genetic makeup to enter the Gattaca Corporation as a navigator, so he borrows the identity of a gifted parapalegic (Jude Law) and passes himself off as genetically "valid". Also starring Uma Thurman, Alan Arkin, Gore Vidal, and Ernest Borgnine. Excellent picture, enveloping 5.1 audio, deleted scenes, promotional featurette, trailer.
